Minne-🍎-olis — Privacy Policy

Minne-🍎-olis is a free food-map game about locally-owned Minneapolis restaurants, operated by Rusty AI LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app stores and why. The short version: no accounts, no ads, no trackers, and we never sell your data.

What we store

• On your device only: your foodie name, chosen character, passport color, collected/saved spots, and progress. This lives in your browser's local storage on your phone. It never leaves your device unless you use a feature below.
• An anonymous game ID: a random identifier we generate on your device (not tied to your name, email, phone, or any personal detail). It is sent with a vote or save so each spot is only counted once per player. Clearing your browser data resets it.
• Aggregate engagement: how many total votes, saves, views, and shares each restaurant has. These are counts about places, not about people.

Information used but not stored to identify you

• IP address: processed transiently, in-memory, only to rate-limit abuse (so no one can spam votes). We do not keep an IP log tied to your activity.

The "concierge" planner (only if you use it)

If you tap the concierge to plan an outing, the mood and cuisine preferences you pick are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a suggestion. No personal identifiers are attached. See Anthropic's privacy terms at anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Anthropic does not train models on API traffic.

Maps

Map tiles are loaded from an open map provider to display the city. Your requests for tiles reveal only the general map area you are viewing, not who you are.

What we do NOT do

• No advertising or ad networks.
• No third-party analytics or behavioral tracking SDKs.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.
• No account, email, or phone number is ever required.

Children

The app is a general-audience restaurant game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

Because your profile and progress live on your device, you can erase everything at any time by clearing the app's data / your browser storage, or uninstalling the app.
